Welcome!  I am a Wheaton native, played volleyball at University of Michigan and previously lived on the West Coast for 5 years in my 20s.

My husband and I went to high school together, but only decided to date 9 years later when I lived in California and he lived in New York.  1 year later we were already engaged and moving home.  There’s no place we’d rather be.

We are raising 4 incredible children who keep me on my toes at all times and make my heart melt every day.  I strive to keep in mind that the days may go slow but the years go fast.  I want to remember (and capture) EVERYTHING…my baby girl sleeping in her crib, the way my third cuddles on the couch with her blankie, my daughter fearlessly jumping in the waves, the look of pride on my son’s face the day he learned to ride a two wheeler or when he's on the pitching mound.  The list goes on and on.  We love vacations together, and thanks to my husband, creating those memories is a top priority.

I am a junkie when it comes to learning about nutrition.  I don’t always follow what I learn, I’ll try almost anything to see what works for my family, but I’ll soak up all the info I can get about the subject.

I am and always have been motivated by perfection… excellence in life, sports and my work.  I know this will continue to make me a better photographer.

FUN FACTS

• I love my husband’s true laugh ~ I’ll never forget the first time I heard it after we started dating.  It took me right back to the halls of our high school.
• I consistently crave an all-out workout ~ the kind where you push yourself beyond your limit and you can barely catch your breath.
• You’ll see me reading a real book ~ the kind where you can turn the pages.  I have a weakness for cookbooks & children's books.
• I look forward to all things Fall.  It’s my favorite season by a landslide ~ the chilly air, pumpkin patches, apple picking and the leaves changing colors.
• I think there’s nothing better than waking up to the sound of the ocean outside your window.
• I crave an Eggnog Latte at Christmas.  It’s the only time you’ll catch me with a coffee cup in my hand.
• I love wine and Napa Valley.  We usually have a couple wine club memberships at a time.
• I love Country music.  What can I say?  It makes me feel.  My all-time favorite concert is Luke Bryan.

MY PHOTOGRAPHY

I started my journey after our first child was born.  I wanted to capture all the big moments and, even more, the everyday moments.  

Like everyone else, I love a great posed picture of everyone looking at the camera and smiling.  But the shots that I absolutely adore are the sweet honest moments.  A nuzzle between mother and son, an all-too-fleeting dreamy look between husband and wife, a child discovering a leaf on the ground and having to explore it.   These are the images I strive to capture…a family loving each other and loving their time together.  Those are the captured images that make me tick!
